The BAT 11dk will be on display at the center of the North American International Auto Show.

Today it was announced that the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan would play host to one of the most touted automotive designs to be released in the first decade of the 21st Century. Surprisingly this concept car was not designed and built by a large automaker but rather was commissioned to be built by a Michigan dentist in a personal effort to create an automotive symbol of hope in the battle against breast cancer.
Dr. Gary Kaberle D.D.S. of Traverse City, Michigan has consented to display the special project designed an designated as the Alfa Romeo BAT 11dk, during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit at Cobo Hall from January 11th to the 25th. This project conceived by Dr. Kaberle, designed and built by Stile Bertone SpA of Turin, Italy has created a stir in automotive design circles since its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in Switzerland last summer.

I am delighted that the College for Creative Studies and the North American International Auto Show has made this invitation available” claims Kaberle. “This entire project has been about realizing the potential of taking a dream and making it real. Michigan and the automotive industry need some reassurance right now that things will get better. This project has been a great example of how the dreams to reality process works and I’m pleased to be doing this in Michigan.”

The BAT 11dk will be on display at the center of the auto show exhibition floor in the area set aside for the College for Creative Studies. Several key individuals from the Italian auto design community and Dr. Kaberle will be on hand during the media events to share their story of how and why this project circumvented the normal design and development protocol. The BAT 11dk will be one of only a few concept cars in this years auto show and is certain to gain more international stature.
